Alberta Government Imposes Hiring Freeze

The Alberta government imposed an immediate hiring freeze for an indefinite period of time, sending a memo to all provincial government employees on Thursday.

Labour Data in Alberta’s Tree Nurseries

A recent report titled Outlook For Alberta’s Commercial Tree Nursery Industry (funded in part by the Agriculture & Food Council) contains a section with fairly recent data on labour, wages, and hiring in Alberta’s tree nurseries.

The Monsanto Canada Opportunity Scholarship Program is for Canadian high school students from family farms who have successfully enrolled at a Canadian educational institution (degree or diploma) in a first-year agricultural sciences or forestry program.
