IMPORTANT SITE CHANGES

THIS PAGE WILL CONTINUE TO CONTAIN STATUS UPDATES AND NEW INFORMATION REGARDING THE FUTURE OF THE SITE, UNTIL SUCH TIME AS ALL CHANGES HAVE BEEN FINALIZED.

Bookmark this page for continued reports.

February 5, 2010

We are sad to announce that Soil to Sky has not been granted an extension of its operating funding and that Agriculture & Food Council has officially begun the complex process of transitioning the site towards either (a) new ownership or (b) termination of operations.

Soil to Sky has been running since June 2006 and the hundreds of thousands of users who have viewed millions of pages of information from this domain have our deep gratitude for your support of the site in this time.

The possible closing of this site as of March 31, 2010 — while not a complete surprise given the ongoing struggle to find financial support for these kinds of tools — has still come as a shock to us working here, and while we work to find the best possible solution for our user-base, stakeholders, and others we will endeavor to continue to keep the site up-to-date and everyone informed to our status. Thanks for your ongoing support.
